Our story

People before profit.

Liveasy was founded in 1995 after our founder struggled to find affordable equipment and reliable advice following a cancer diagnosis, surgery and treatment.

Since then, the company has always been built around a simple principle: People Before Profit.

Our aim is to offer practical products, honest guidance and a friendly service that helps people feel more comfortable, independent and supported.

What we do

Mobility equipment with friendly, practical advice

We supply a wide range of mobility and daily living equipment, supported by an experienced team who are happy to answer questions and talk through the options.

We take the time to listen

Choosing equipment can feel confusing, especially when making decisions for yourself, a family member or someone you care for. We listen first, then advise.

No pressure to buy

Our role is to help you understand the options. We will suggest alternative items where appropriate, or refer you to other services if needed.

Based inside Disability North

Our flagship store is based inside Disability North in South Gosforth, Newcastle, making us easy to visit for customers across the region.

Working with customers and carers

We support customers, families and carers with practical advice on equipment that can improve comfort, safety and everyday independence.

Professional partnerships

We have worked with NHS teams, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, charities and public sector organisations over many years.

Across the North East

We serve customers across the North East, including areas as far afield as Berwick, Alnwick, Durham and Sunderland.

Local partnership

Working alongside Disability North.

Liveasy has been based inside Disability North since 2010 and has worked in partnership with their in-house Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to advise customers on equipment.

Although Disability North’s in-house service ended in 2020, we continue to work alongside the charity in their goal to support disabled people in the area.
